Why should the pressure gauge be calibrated?

December 13, 2023

After a period of pressure and use of the pressure gauge, the internal parts will inevitably suffer from wear and deformation. This will lead to instrument accuracy distortion or various malfunctions. In severe cases, the pressure gauge may malfunction or be scrapped.

In order to ensure the accuracy of the pressure gauge measurement results, the pressure gauge should be periodically calibrated.

The calibration cycle of a general pressure gauge usually does not exceed half a year, the maximum calibration period for precision pressure gauges is one year.

For pressure gauges with very strict safety requirements and frequent use, the calibration cycle can be appropriately shortened according to specific circumstances; Pressure gauges related to production safety and environmental monitoring, the calibration cycle must be in accordance with the calibration regulations; If the pressure gauge is located in a harsh environment, the verification cycle must be shorter.
