Calibration items for general pressure gauges

The main purpose of pressure gauge calibration is to detect the error range of the pressure gauge. The different performances of pressure gauges need to be considered, to select the corresponding verification method. The inspection items of general pressure gauges are as follows:

1. Appearance inspection

• All parts of the pressure gauge should be assembled firmly. There shall be no rust, cracks, holes or other defects that may affect the measurement performance. The joint threads should be undamaged.
• The dial scale and symbols of the pressure gauge should be complete and clear.
• Whether the pointer is damaged.

2. Indication value check

• Whether the pointer returns to 0.
• Whether there is any error in the indication value.
• The back-and-forth difference of the pressure gauge.

3. Stability check

• Tap displacement: Refers to the change in the indicated value before tapping the gauge case and after tapping the gauge case at the same inspection point. The variation error can be accepted within 1/2.
• Pointer deflection smoothness: During the measurement process, The deflection of the instrument pointer should be smooth without jumping or stagnation.
